My name is John Ellis. I am a father, husband, and sales leader specializing in outbound sales for  early-stage SaaS companies.

​

In my 15 years of direct B2B sales experience, I have won company awards and set attainment records as an individual contributor and later held key leadership positions at SaaS companies, two of which, in total, were eventually valued at ~$600 million.

​

The first company I joined as an Account Executive before rising to more significant leadership roles over five years, notably as National Sales Manager for the company's largest sales division, totaling 40 reps. The company, Demandforce, was acquired by Intuit for ~$400m.

​

In 2016 I became the first employee at Luma Health, pre-revenue, as the Director of Sales and Business Development. Over my three-year tenure, from 2016 to 2019, I scaled the company to $4 million ARR and a 15 person sales team while it raised nearly $26 million(through Series B). In 2021, Luma completed their Series C for ~$120m.

Since then, I've worked with several other early-stage companies, focusing on measurable and scalable processes to build their go-to-market and customer acquisition strategies.

​

While the processes can scale across many segments, I focus on the domains I've executed in, direct SMB to Mid-Market SaaS Sales with deal sizes between $5,000-$100,000 ARR, and sales cycles between 1-25 weeks.

​
